Over 37% of IT managers do not look at their organizations’ mobile monthly bill.
According to DAMOVO UK, an ICT solutions and services provider, UK companies could potentially be wasting up to £264m per annum on mobile call costs.
The reasons for that?
First of all, mobiles and particularly smartphones have become the favored device and are replacing the office desk phone. Consequently, mobile phone bills are sky rocketing, especially when taking into consideration that according to the IT managers, 42% of employees’ mobile calls are being made between employees of the same company.
The second reason is that over 37% of IT Managers surveyed do not look at their organizations’ mobile monthly bill. And 74% of them admit that they turn a blind eye towards employees making personal and international/premium rate calls on their work mobiles.
No time, no resource, no expertise for checking the bills or no telecom policy? When faced with these numbers, organizations and managers need to have better visibility over mobile usage. But this is easier said than done, as it necessitates a thorough monthly analysis, which can be a time-consuming task.
